Gibraltar HD5 Mount - Encoder Equipped

I've been using this mount with my 4-inch scope for a few weeks now, and the large bearing surfaces make a noticeable difference in stability even during gusty nights. The thick wood legs absorb vibrations much faster than my old setup, which keeps the view steady when I'm focusing at high power.

The encoder on this mount tracks so smoothly during my high-magnification sessions that I barely need to nudge it. The large bearing surfaces give it a reassuringly solid feel, and the thick wood legs really cut down on vibration.

I’ve been using this mount with my heavier 4-inch scope, and the thick wood legs really soak up vibration during high-power views. The large bearing surfaces give it a solid, planted feel that I didn’t get with my previous setup. Setup was straightforward, and it handles the load without any wobble.
