#13 Neutral Density Filter

I’ve been using this filter for lunar observing, and the contrast improvement is dramatic—Jupiter’s bands really pop now. The Schott glass feels solid and well-made, no image distortion at the edges.

The optical glass construction on these filters makes a real difference on Jupiter—the bands around the equator snapped into much sharper relief than with my previous filter. I’ve noticed less glare and better contrast overall, and they seem to hold up well against minor scratches.

For lunar observing, this filter really cuts down the glare without washing out subtle crater details. The precision ground glass feels solid and the threads fit perfectly on my eyepiece.
