I've been using this 1.25" IR-pass filter for astrophotography, and the fused quartz glass really makes a difference in image clarity. The steep cut-off at 800nm blocks visible light completely while letting through infrared. It threads onto my nosepiece perfectly with the 1 1/8"-48 mount.
