Description

Explore Scientific Waterproof Eyepieces - Comfort, Quality, Value. The Explore Scientific 62° Series eyepieces are excellent flat-field multi-element oculars that can transform your visual astronomy experience. With an apparent field of view of 62 degrees and near parfocal design, these eyepieces offer incredible value in a very nice eyepiece.

Another great benefit of these eyepieces is the excellent contrast and ease with which you can gaze, not directly at an object, but slightly to either side. This skill, called using averted vision, is especially helpful when observing faint objects, because using averted vision puts the image on a part of your eye that is more sensitive to light, allowing you to see fainter images.

Alexander ★★★★★

The 20mm focal length gives a crisp, wide view of the Orion Nebula, and the twist-up eyecup stays firmly in place even with glasses. Star images stay sharp right to the edge of the field. A solid upgrade from my stock eyepieces.

Alexander ★★★★★

The nitrogen purge is a nice touch—no more worrying about internal fogging during those dewy midnight sessions. Even on my fast f/5 scope, the stars stay sharp right to the edge of the field.

Brian ★★★★★

The 62-degree field is noticeably wider than my old Plössls, making it much easier to track objects across the sky. The AR coating really cuts down on stray light, giving crisp views of Jupiter’s bands even in suburban skies. It’s a solid upgrade without breaking the bank.
