Description

Explore Scientific Waterproof Eyepieces - Comfort, Quality, Value. The Explore Scientific 62° Series eyepieces are excellent flat-field multi-element oculars that can transform your visual astronomy experience. With an apparent field of view of 62 degrees and near parfocal design, these eyepieces offer incredible value in a very nice eyepiece.

Another great benefit of these eyepieces is the excellent contrast and ease with which you can gaze, not directly at an object, but slightly to either side. This skill, called using averted vision, is especially helpful when observing faint objects, because using averted vision puts the image on a part of your eye that is more sensitive to light, allowing you to see fainter images.

Olivia A. ★★★★★

The nitrogen purge is a game-changer—no more fogging up on humid nights, and the view through the 14mm is crisp edge-to-edge. I was worried about the 62° field being too tight, but it actually feels spacious and immersive.

John V. ★★★★★

Finally, an eyepiece that doesn't fog up on humid nights—the AR purging makes a real difference. The 62-degree field feels noticeably wider than my old Plössls, and the image stays sharp right to the edge.

Olivia ★★★★★

Fogged-up eyepieces have ruined too many nights for me, so the fact that this one is argon-purged and sealed tight is a game-changer. The 62° field feels wide and immersive, and the flat view stays comfortable even during longer sessions.
