Description

The Takahashi Abbe eyepieces are true to the original Abbe design. They are fully multi-coated for maximum light transmission for increased contrast. The 44 degree apparent field of view and high contrast are perfect for lunar and planetary observing. When used with the Takahashi 2X Barlow the image field is nearly flat. The Takahashi Abbe eyepieces come in 4, 6, 9, 12.5, 18, 25 and 32 mm focal lengths.

Natalie ★★★★★

The 44-degree field of view feels perfectly sharp and contrasty for planetary observations. I've been able to split close double stars that were impossible with my other eyepieces.

James P. ★★★★★

The multi-coating really does make a difference—contrast on Jupiter's bands popped like nothing I’ve seen through my other eyepieces. The 44 degree field feels tight at first, but it’s crisp edge-to-edge and perfect for planetary work.

Joseph ★★★★★

For the price, the multi-coating really delivers — stars are crisp and clean right to the edge of the 44 degree field. No false color that I can see, even on the moon.
