Description

The Takahashi Abbe eyepieces are true to the original Abbe design. They are fully multi-coated for maximum light transmission for increased contrast. The 44 degree apparent field of view and high contrast are perfect for lunar and planetary observing. When used with the Takahashi 2X Barlow the image field is nearly flat. The Takahashi Abbe eyepieces come in 4, 6, 9, 12.5, 18, 25 and 32 mm focal lengths.

Ellie P. ★★★★★

The multicoating really brings out subtle contrast on Jupiter's bands compared to my older eyepieces. That 44-degree field feels just right for planetary work, sharp right to the edge.

Owen X. ★★★★★

I've been using this eyepiece on my 4-inch refractor and the contrast on Jupiter's bands is noticeably sharper than with my old plössl. The 44-degree field is tight but perfect for planetary work, and the build quality feels solid.

Lily ★★★★★

The multi-coating on this eyepiece really brings out contrast in faint lunar details I’ve struggled to see before. It’s a solid, classic design that feels precise and well-built.
