12" Quattro Imaging Newtonian (S11230)

Setup was straightforward even with the 12-inch tube, and the views of Saturn's rings were incredibly crisp—exactly what I hoped for from a Dobsonian. The altitude bearings move smoothly with just the right amount of resistance.

The mirror on this 12-inch is noticeably sharper than my old 10-inch—finally resolved the Trapezium stars cleanly on a steady night. Setup was straightforward, though you'll definitely want a friend to help lift the tube onto the base. Definitely worth the wait for the backorder.

I was a little nervous about the backorder delay, but once it arrived, the sheer light-gathering power on deep-sky objects made the wait completely worth it. The 12-inch aperture really pulls in detail on faint nebulae that my old 8-inch just couldn't touch.
