6-inch Tabletop Dobsonian Reflector Telescope

The tabletop setup is so compact I can carry it outside in one trip, but that 6-inch mirror really pulls in crisp views of Jupiter's cloud bands. Set up took maybe five minutes right out of the box, and the Dobsonian mount glides smoothly while tracking the moon.

The 6-inch mirror gathers way more light than I expected for something this portable—saturn's rings were crisp and clear on the first clear night. Set up took maybe two minutes on the patio table.

Was a little skeptical about a tabletop scope being this steady, but the f/5 mirror pulls in enough light to see Jupiter's bands clearly from my back deck. Setup was just set the tube on the base and start looking—no tripod wobble to fight.
