Description

Step up to the next level of guiding accuracy and multi-purpose imaging versatility with the Orion StarShoot AutoGuider Pro Mono Astrophotography Camera. This highly sensitive monochrome imaging device is primarily designed for precise autoguiding, but it also performs as a high-quality astrophotography camera.

Boasting an astounding 74% quantum efficiency, the StarShoot AutoGuider Pro will literally "guide" you to capturing better, cleaner, more precise astrophotos thanks to its sensitivity when used as an autoguider, and it features a built-in ST-4 port. The camera's slim, lightweight design allows for improved back-focus range and better compatibility with guiding and imaging accessories such as off-axis guiders.

The StarShoot AutoGuider Pro Mono Astrophotography Camera's high quantum efficiency will help guide you to better astrophotos.

Its 1/3" CMOS sensor resolution of 1280x960 (1.2MP) not only helps achieve delightfully accurate autoguiding, it also makes the StarShoot AutoGuider Pro an ideal solar system imaging camera capable of capturing sharp monochrome exposures of the Moon and planets. The camera's exceptionally fast frame rate of up to 200 frames per second (FPS) ensures you'll catch even the most fleeting moments of clear seeing for great results.

This versatile camera can even be used for imaging deep space objects such as galaxies and nebulas thanks to its long 10-minute maximum exposure time, and it can capture quick exposures as short as 20ms. Since the StarShoot AutoGuider Pro Mono Astrophotography Camera features a monochrome imaging chip, you can control and experiment with different balances of LRGB and narrowband filters to accentuate details.

Joseph ★★★★★

Picked this up as a used unit and it's working perfectly—the sensor is clean with no dead pixels that I can see. Hooked it up to my guide scope and got steady guiding on the first night out; the image quality from the test shots is sharp for a mono camera. Honestly feels like I got a solid deal for

Robert T. ★★★★★

Even with the "used" label, the body is almost flawless and the USB port feels snug and secure. I hooked it up last night and the guiding was steady right out of the box. For the price, this is a solid pickup for anyone wanting to try mono guiding without the new-gear cost.

Emma ★★★★★

The sensor arrived spotless, and the housing’s barely-there scuffs match the “used” listing perfectly. Hooked it up to my scope last night, and the autoguider locked onto a star within seconds, no glitches. For the price, this is a steal for anyone dipping into mono guiding.
