Description

The EvoGuide 50DX APO Guide Scope Astrograph takes Sky-Watcher's doublet design and packages it in a lightweight guide scope. These doublet refractors deliver dramatic, coal-black skies and faithful, contrast-rich views of planetary and deep-space phenomenon that are second to none. Mounting to your guide camera is a breeze with convenient M42 rings on the back of the scope, and a beefy single-speed focus ring helps you nail focus. Although initially designed for guide cameras, the EvoGuide 50DX APO Guide Scope Astrograph can be used to shoot fast, low focal length astrophotography when used in conjunction with a focal reducer (not included), producing stunning wide-field images.

This package includes the EvoGuide 50 optical tube, tube rings, a finder stalk, and a Vixen-style mounting plate.

Isabella I. ★★★★★

The 50mm aperture pulls in way more light than my old finder scope, making star-hopping actually enjoyable now. The apochromatic optics keep stars sharp right to the edge of the field, which is a huge upgrade for guiding. Took me an evening to dial in the alignment, but once set, it holds rock solid

Sophia ★★★★★

The fully multi-coated optics really pull in faint guide stars I couldn't lock onto before. Calibration with PHD2 was smoother than I expected given the 50mm aperture, and the helical focuser holds position perfectly even with a heavier camera attached.

Scarlett ★★★★★

I mounted this 50mm apochromatic guide scope onto my rig last night, and the star images were noticeably sharper than my old cheap finder. The matched lens assembly really makes a difference for plate solving during long exposures.
