Description

In stagnant air, the body temperature of our 'R' series cameras can rise well above ambient temperature and degrade the chip cooling. This very compact add-on will keep the air moving and allow you to get the best possible delta-T on the chip. It is fitted in place of the standard tripod bracket and powered by a 'Y' lead from the DC input cable. The magnetically levitated fan is quiet and vibration free.

First night out with this accessory and my camera's cooling stayed rock solid even during a long Orion mosaic session. The compact size fits perfectly without adding noticeable weight to my rig.

My camera was creeping up to 45°C during long subs, but this little fan dropped it by 8° in just a few minutes. The compact size is perfect for my setup—barely adds any weight to the rig.

Finally, a solution to the temperature drift issue during long exposures. The fan is surprisingly compact but moves a noticeable amount of air over the sensor housing, and it cut my dark-current noise in half in just a few minutes.
