Category: Plates and Rings

Description

Made to mount our 80 mm finderscopes to an SCT telescope. This has a bracket that attaches to the mirror cell on 8” and larger Celestron or Meade SCTs. A small dovetail shoe attaches to the bracket and the finder rings slide in and out of this shoe for easy, quick disconnect. The SCT shoe is larger in size than the shoe on the R80FA. A diagram of this larger shoe is shown above.

Ella T. ★★★★★

The bracket fit snugly against the mirror cell on my 8” SCT, with no wobble at all. The dovetail shoe locks the finder securely and makes swapping scopes quick.

Hannah ★★★★★

The dovetail shoe slides the finder on and off without any wobble, and the bracket lines up square with the mirror cell. Mounting my 80mm scope took under five minutes, and it’s rock solid even when I bump the focuser.

Victoria ★★★★★

The bracket attached perfectly to my 8-inch SCT's mirror cell with no wobble, and the 80mm finder sits rock-solid in the rings. I was pleasantly surprised how quick it was to align the finder using the included shoe.
