18mm Abbe Eyepiece (1.25")

Used it on my 8" dob last night and the 44-degree field is just right for planetary work—Jupiter's bands popped with real contrast. The fully multi-coated optics are noticeably brighter than my old Kellner, even at 200x.

The multi-coating really makes a difference—contrast on Jupiter's bands was noticeably sharper than with my old eyepiece. Even with the narrow 44-degree field, the clarity more than makes up for it for planetary work.

The 44-degree field of view is narrow, sure, but the contrast on Jupiter’s bands is the sharpest I’ve seen in any eyepiece at this price. The multi-coating really pulls out every bit of light, even on a hazy night, and the build feels solid enough to last decades.
