MASUYAMA 2″ Eyepieces

Swapping in the 2" Masuyama eyepiece was like turning up the resolution on my telescope—Jupiter's bands snapped into crisp detail. The fully multi-coated glass cuts glare so well that even faint nebula wisps stand out clearly. It's a noticeable upgrade from my old Plossls.

The coating is so clean that even in my f/6 scope, stars snap into focus with almost no false color. I was worried about eye relief being tight, but it’s actually usable for my glasses—just barely. Four stars because the rubber eyecup rolls down a bit too easily for my liking.

The five-element design delivers a noticeably cleaner image than my old Plossls, and the multi-coating really helps with contrast on Jupiter. Focus snaps right into place without any false color creeping in.
