72° ED Series 20mm Waterproof Eyepiece

Took this out last night for some wide field observing, and the 72-degree apparent field really does make scanning the Milky Way feel immersive and effortless. The 20mm focal length gives a nice balance between magnification and a bright view, even in my moderately light-polluted backyard.

The 72-degree field of view makes scanning the Milky Way feel almost immersive, and the edge-to-edge sharpness on my f/6 scope surprised me. Focus is crisp across the whole view, even on bright star clusters.

I was a little worried the 20mm focal length might not be wide enough, but the 72-degree field of view lets me take in huge star fields in a single glance without moving the telescope. The 1.25 inch barrel fit perfectly into my focuser, and the image stays sharp right to the edge of the view.
