ZWO 2.5mm 170 degree lens

This little 2.5mm lens covers a massive 170-degree field on my ASI178MC, which is perfect for capturing the full Milky Way arch without any stitching. The focus ring is smooth and precise for such a compact piece of glass.

Finally got this tiny wide-angle lens mounted on my ASI178MC and the 170-degree field is perfect for capturing the entire Milky Way core in a single frame. The 2.5mm focal length really lets me fit in more of the landscape and sky together.

I was worried about distortion with such a wide angle, but the 170-degree view on my 1/2″ sensor captures incredible star fields without obvious bending at the edges. It pairs perfectly with my ASI178MC, making wide-field shots a breeze.
