The threading is machined so cleanly that they screw on and off the saddle without any wobble or binding, which makes balancing a heavier rig way less fiddly than I expected. The 5lb version gives me just the right amount of counterweight for my setup.

These threaded counterweights fit perfectly on my Losmandy mount, and the 5lb option let me dial in the balance precisely. The threading was smooth and didn’t bind at all when I tightened it down, which made setup much faster than I expected.

I was a bit worried about compatibility with my older mount, but the 2.5lb weight threaded on smoothly and balanced my scope perfectly. The machined finish looks clean and the weight itself feels solid enough for long imaging sessions.
