Evostar 150mm Doublet APO Refractor (S11190)

Spent a clear night comparing this to my old achromat and the difference in color correction is night and day—even Jupiter showed no false color at 150x. The dual-speed focuser is buttery smooth for fine-tuning lunar details.

I was worried about the backorder, but the wait was absolutely worth it — the star images are tack-sharp even at high power, and the focuser is butter smooth.

The color fringing on bright stars is virtually nonexistent with this scope, and the build quality of the focuser feels rock-solid. Was worried about the backorder wait, but it arrived well-packed and collimation was spot-on from the box.
